Miami installs kiosks to allow residents to grade city employees

The city of Miami has installed kiosks at City Hall and the Miami Riverside Center that allow visitors to give feedback on city employees, according to the South Florida Business Journal. The service is provided by CityGrader, a startup that seeks to improve local government accountability and transparency.

Mayor Francis Suarez said the technology helps build a stronger connection between residents and city government.

Miami has become the first public partner for CityGrader, which also offers an app called CityGrader GO that lets users grade city employees and departments using a smartphone or tablet.
