Kiosk to bring conservation awareness to Cali schoolchildren

September 14, 2012

The Wyland Foundation has unveiled its interactive environmental education kiosk, according to a company press release.

The foundation's mission since 2007 has been to educate schoolchildren about the awareness of the ocean's resources by taking its 1,000 square foot "exhibit on wheels," the Wyland Clean Water Learning Experience, to schools around California. The 46-inch touchscreen kiosk by Horizon Display marks the latest addition to its educational arsenal.

"It's rewarding to see how advancements in technology can help these kids in a big way," said Wyland, an artist and conservationist who started the foundation in 1993. "The real challenge of teaching children about awareness of any kind is keeping their attention long enough, and our new touchscreen kiosk does just that."
