Kiosk manufacturer Slabb Inc. announced that Clark County, Nev., home to Las Vegas, has implemented the Slabb X6 kiosk model to provide a self-service option for the request of certified copies of marriage certificates.
The kiosk went live in April and has since completed more than 1,000 transactions, saving personnel more than 350 hours of work time, according to a news release.
Due to the success of the pilot project, the County hopes to have additional kiosks installed that can provide similar services, the release said.
"This will be the first of two types of kiosks the County Recorder will be providing. We are hoping to rollout additional kiosks to ensure more efficiency and to lower costs," said Courtney Hill, Clark County's systems administrator. "So far, customers are pleased that they can complete their transactions quickly. We were also happy that we could choose a local company like Slabb, that was flexible enough to provide the kiosk design we needed, at a cost we could work with."
