Detroit's St. Vincent and Sara Fisher Center, an educational support organization for children and adults, will depend on kiosks for showcasing its upcoming exhibit "Windows of Opportunity," which will feature 18 stained glass windows with classic Mother Goose nursery rhyme scenes.

The windows were commissioned by Sara Fisher for restoration of the building after a fire destroyed it in 1928. Detroit Stained Glass Works created the windows with handmade sheet glass and lead and installed them in 1929.

The three-month-long exhibit pays tribute to the Center's history and services through a mix of art, information and interactive kiosks, according to a release. Some of the nursery rhymes depicted on the windows are:

  • Little Bo Peep;
  • Little Miss Muffet;
  • Little Red Riding Hood;
  • Little Dutch Girl;
  • Little Dutch Boy;
  • Little Boy Blue;
  • Peter of "Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater";
  • Mary of "Mary, Mary Quite Contrary";
  • Tom of "Tom, Tom the Piper's Son";
  • Jill of "Jack and Jill"; and
  • Jack of "Jack and Jill."

The show runs from Oct. 11 to Dec. 28.
