Tourism company Destination Lancaster has swapped out old-fashioned brochures in its visitor center for a digital information system by Livewire Digital.

The two companies collaborated to install a 42-inch wall-mounted kiosk that promotes local attractions and businesses at the Lancaster (California) Visitors Center.

"Tourists don’t want to spend hours rifling through hundreds of brochures," Livewire CEO David McCracken said in the company announcement. "They want a one-stop shop to get their information quickly and efficiently, and the less clutter, the better."

The interactive touchscreen features Livewire's eConcierge Content Management System, which breaks tourist information into categories such as Boulevard, Dining, Signature Events, Stay and Things to Do. Tourists can also access wayfinding information with the system's interactive mapping options and view directions and geographical data.
