AVT's founder and chairman, Shannon Illingworth, was featured on financial media company website TheStreet.com in an interview on why the automated retailing industry continues to expand, the company announced.

Illingworth was interviewed by TheStreet Senior Reporter Gregg Greenberg, who said in the article, "Businesses are seeking more touch points while customers are demanding immediate gratification and this is leading to increased demand for kiosks."

"We've done something special," Illingworth said. "We merged the kiosk with the vending machine to create a more consumer friendly experience.

VendingMarketWatch reported the U.S. vending market to be worth more than $19.31 billion, according to an AVT news release.

"Consumers are demanding more product offerings and more convenience," Illingworth said. "Businesses are now trying to fill that need."
