Kiosk company imageholders teams with Rockwell Collins on visitor management tablet kiosks

April 13, 2017

Kiosk company imageholders has delivered 60 tailored Shell+12 tablet kiosks to Rockwell Collins, a global aerospace and manufacturing company, according to a press release.

The tablet kiosks securely enclose Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablets and a 3M card swipe reader. The tablet kiosks perform as a visitor identity management solution for security. The enclosure was tailored with a card holder to ensure a perfect fit for all devices within the final solution. The Microsoft Surface tablet kiosks were wall mounted with a custom rear mounting plate.

The Shell+ range can be counter mounted, wall mounted or freestanding to meet customer requirements. It is also available in different size variations to cover a multitude of different sized tablets available in today's market including, but not limited to, Apple iPads, Microsoft Surfaces, Samsung Galaxy Tabs and Google Nexus.

"Our organization contacted imageholders to create a solution for our new visitor identity management project," Jessica Bullerman, senior manager at Rockwell Collins, said in the press release. "The Shell+ 12 was exactly what we were looking for, or so we thought. New to this product, we only expressed what we thought we wanted as our solution. imageholders designed a custom tablet mount solution with very little input from us required. Upon delivery of the final product, we discovered that it not only included mounting instructions and hardware for the tablet enclosure, but also specific instructions for our chosen card reader."
