HotelKey is expanding deployment of its self-check-in kiosk as hotel operators look to automate routine front-desk functions and provide around-the-clock service, according to a press release. The Carrollton, Texas-based company says the system can save a property more than 2,000 labor hours annually by handling tasks including identity verification, payments, room assignments and keycard dispensing, allowing employees to focus on other guest services.
NSR Hotel Group has selected HotelKey as the exclusive kiosk provider for its G6 portfolio of more than 20 U.S. properties. The hospitality company owns and operates more than 30 hotels overall, including properties affiliated with Wyndham, Choice, Marriott, Hilton and Red Roof. Infinity Management Group is also expanding the technology to California properties following a pilot at its Motel 6 near the Anaheim Convention Center. HotelKey's system can additionally connect guests with live remote agents who can assist with more complicated transactions.
HotelKey plans to expand the kiosk's capabilities with agentic artificial intelligence designed to handle more complex guest requests, including rate negotiations and customized services. The kiosk integrates with HotelKey's cloud-based property management platform, which the company says has more than 25,000 contracted hotels, including more than 15,000 properties currently using the platform.
