Cincinnati-based Hamilton Safe, manufacturer of physical security products, unveiled its BIO-LOCKed Secure Storage System, a biometric, high-security lock system that combines lock core with programmable keys and an updated Windows PC tablet touchscreen kiosk.
BIO-LOCKed SSS is designed for industries that rely on having highly secure areas readily accessible to authorized users. Customers can access it with biometric authentication and a PIN, the company said in an announcement. Its programmable keys provide access only to permissible locations for authorized personnel. The scalable technology can operate as a network connected console for multiple kiosks at multiple sites to connect through a central database with central reporting, real-time notifications and management controls.
BIO-LOCKed frees management from needing to escort clients to a secured area. It includes container locks, door locks and various hardware platform locks. It enables industries such as pharmacies, health care, transportation and banking to audit daily processing and compliance breaches. Standard reporting protocol and automatic notification push through any notification to management and retain the record in the system.
