Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway announced that state and local law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at the Sit-N-Spin gaming establishment in Park Hills, Missouri, resulting in the seizure of 13 illegal electronic gambling devices, a payout kiosk and $24,593 in cash. The operation was carried out June 2 by the Attorney General's Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Park Hills Police Department, according to a press release. Authorities subsequently filed 13 felony counts of first-degree promoting gambling against Robert John Orr.

Hanaway said the enforcement action is part of a broader effort to crack down on illegal gaming operations across Missouri. The Attorney General's Office is also seeking forfeiture of the seized funds under the Missouri Criminal Activity Forfeiture Act, which allows authorities to confiscate assets connected to criminal activity. The action follows several recent statewide enforcement efforts targeting what state officials describe as unlawful gambling devices operating outside Missouri's regulated casino industry.

Park Hills Police Chief Richard McFarland said local authorities are committed to removing illegal gaming operations from the community and protecting legitimate businesses. Hanaway warned that businesses continuing to host or operate illegal gambling devices should remove them immediately, saying her office will continue working with law enforcement agencies throughout the state to identify and shut down unlawful gaming operations. Officials emphasized that the charges are allegations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
