Florida International University recently installed wayfinding kiosks at its MMC and BBC campuses to guide students through the buildings and inform them about the latest announcements, according to a press release.
This custom application created by Intermedia Touch enables students to access information related to FIU's current events, allows them to interact with the campus wayfinding guide, and be aware of programs that enhance their educational experience.
Intermedia Touch's outdoor kiosks are built to withstand the elements because they are sealed from moisture and have built-in cooling systems to prevent overheating, amplified weatherproof sound systems, and anti-glare and vandal proof 46-inch touchscreen LED/LCD backlit displays. Also, the outdoor kiosks were custom vinyl wrapped with FIU's preferred theme and brand guidelines.
"The kiosk application showcases our department services better than any other platform we have used in the past," Andy Santana, a university systems analyst, said in the press release.
