Flagstaff, Arizona introduces downtown parking kiosks

Flagstaff, Arizona's parking kiosks went live this past weekend without any glitches, according to The Arizona Daily Sun.

The city expects the program to generate $1 million in annual revenues to support program operations and fund new parking infrastructure downtown, said Karl Eberhard, interim parking manager for the city.

Several people who were paying to park Monday morning said they were displeased by the new $1-per-hour parking charge. Some said they plan to go downtown less.

Employees of downtown businesses said it is frustrating having to pay in order to park for work.
