Feig Electronics receives certification for contactless payment terminals

January 2, 2020

Feig Electronics, a provider of RFID readers and antennas, has received PCI 5.1 certification for its contactless payment terminals, according to a press release.

The company's cVEND plug, cVEND box and cVEND box+ now join cVEND PIN in receiving the certification which is valid through April 2026.

While the previous PCI PTS 4.x certification of the cVEND plug and cVEND box / box + payment terminals is still valid, and will support sales until 2023, the latest certification will provide clear confirmation to support planning, implementation and future use of the product family.

Feig Electronics has also completed the recertification of the EMVCo Level 1 and Level 2 contactless terminals for Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
