EVgo, an operator of public electric vehicle fast-charging networks, has built an 18-stall electric vehicle charging station in Los Angeles' Mid-City neighborhood, offering chargers rated at up to 350 kilowatts. In a LinkedIn post CEO Badar Khan described it as the city's largest non-Tesla fast-charging station.
The station is near Interstate 10, providing access for drivers traveling along a major highway corridor. Khan said the installation supports EVgo's efforts to develop larger stations in markets with growing demand for public charging.
EVgo's broader expansion includes larger locations in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco, along with flagship sites developed with General Motors. Khan said the company is also incorporating high-power chargers at every new station to meet drivers' charging needs.
