Elo, a provider of interactive technology solutions, has launched its I-Series 2.0 for Windows, an enhanced version of its multi-purpose fixed-tablet form factor, according to a press release.
The I-Series 2.0 for Windows delivers commercial grade computing with the capabilities, security and enterprise infrastructure of an Intel-based platform.
Available with either 15- or 22-inch displays, the I-Series 2.0 for Windows offers eighth generation Intel processors including Celeron, Core i3 and Core i5. The I-Series offers Elo Edge Connect ports on all four sides, allowing up to four peripherals at a time for increased configurability. These peripherals include fingerprint reader, barcode scanner, cradles for multiple payment devices and magnetic swipe readers.
The I-Series models are available with Windows 10, or with no OS for those who want to install alternate operating systems. Elo's I-Series solutions are pretested with Linux SuSE, Ubuntu and Red Hat operating systems.
