Nonprofit fundraising platform Donorbox announced that organizations using its technology have now raised more than $4 billion in donations, according to a press release, a milestone the company says reflects the sector's continued adaptation to changing donor preferences and digital giving trends. More than 100,000 nonprofits across 96 countries use the platform, which processed a record 10.6 million donations in 2025 as organizations increasingly embrace online and in-person fundraising tools.
A key part of that growth has come from self-service donation kiosks. Donorbox has expanded its Live Kiosk offering, which allows nonprofits to accept cashless donations through tablets and card readers placed in churches, museums, schools, shelters and fundraising events. The company said the kiosks provide a convenient way for supporters to contribute on-site while helping organizations capture donor information and reduce administrative work. Donorbox reports that organizations using the kiosks have seen significant increases in fundraising activity, with the devices designed to operate with minimal staff involvement.
The announcement underscores a broader shift toward omnichannel fundraising, where nonprofits combine digital campaigns with physical donation touchpoints. Donorbox said nonprofits are increasingly looking for flexible giving options that meet donors where they are, whether online, through mobile devices or at self-service kiosks. Company officials said the $4 billion milestone demonstrates how technology-enabled fundraising tools are helping organizations diversify revenue streams and strengthen donor engagement in an evolving charitable giving landscape.
