Turkish leisure airline Corendon Airlines has introduced self-service airport check-in kiosks as part of its digital transformation strategy, according to a Breaking Travel News report, allowing passengers to complete key pre-flight tasks without visiting a staffed counter. Travelers can check in by scanning their passport or entering their booking reference, select seats or receive an automatic seat assignment, and purchase ancillary services through the kiosks.
The kiosks include an integrated payment system that accepts transactions in Turkish lira, euros, U.S. dollars and British pounds, enabling passengers to pay for optional services at the airport. The system also supports self-service baggage drop by verifying baggage information, activating bag tags and streamlining the luggage check-in process.
The self-service technology is available at Antalya Airport, Manchester Airport and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Corendon told the news outlet that testing is underway ahead of planned deployments at Düsseldorf Airport, Warsaw Chopin Airport and Nuremberg Airport.
