Contec Americas Inc., a global technology design, manufacturing and integration company, has relocated its U.S. headquarters to a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing and integration facility in Melbourne, Florida, according to a press release.

Contec invested $6.3 million in the facility in response to its continued growth in markets including embedded systems, I/O board, and industrial Internet of Things markets, including self-serve kiosks.

Over the past year, the company has opened a new Chicago office and launched its C5 imbedded computer based on the Intel Computer Card.

"As the demand for machine-to-machine communication and IoT grows, we're seeing a rapid increase in the need for processing power to support it," Contec CEO Alex Blochtein said in the press release.

The new location houses Contec's U.S. production and fulfillment as well as engineering, procurement, sales and other administrative and executive teams.
