Axiomtek intros fanless touch-panel PC for kiosks

Axiomtek introduced its new slim-type fanless touch-panel computer, the GOT3156T-834, that supports the 22nm Technology Intel Atom.

Axiomtek introduced its new slim-type fanless touch panel computer, the GOT3156T-834, that supports the 22nm Technology Intel Atom processor.

The City of Industry, California-based manufacturer of PC-based industry computer products equipped the GOT3156T-834 with a 15-inch XGA color TFT LCD display and IP65-certified front bezel. The system is designed to withstand temperatures from -4-degrees Fahrenheit to 131-degrees Fahrenheit (20-degrees Celsius to 55-degrees Celsius) and up to 2G of vibration. Its interface can perform in industrial environments, including steel and oil refineries, factory automation and more, the company said.

"Using the Intel AtomTM processor E3827, the GOT3156T-834 provides excellent computing performance and low power consumption," said Max Chang, product manager of the product marketing division at Axiomtek, in a statement. "The aluminum back chassis gives the system a first-class thermal solution for stability and reliability. The GOT3156T-834 offers a high brightness LCD monitor with 400 nits, making the screen readable in semi-outdoor environments. The GOT3156T-834, with a stylish appearance and super slim design, is also suitable for applications in advertising including self-service kiosks in retail stores, museums and hotels."

The GOT3156T-834 is outfitted with dual 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports, dual PCIe Mini Card slots and a pre-installed internal WLAN antenna to address demands for multiple network and wireless communications. It includes one 2.5-inch SATA HDD and mSATA (or CFast) for storage capacity; panel and wall mounting options; optional VESA arm and desktop stand; and I/O interfaces with four BIOS configurable RS-232/422/485 combo COM ports, two USB3.0, two USB 2.0, audio (line-out) and VGA, according to the announcement.

The touch panel PC is compatible with WE8S, WES7, Windows 7 and 8.1.
