Vending kiosk manufacturer AVT Inc. has announced a new series of kiosks that are compliant to new U.S. Food and Drug Administration rules for caloric and nutritional disclosure. The company also has updated its website with a section on "FDA Compliance" to help businesses understand the new laws, according to the press release.

"AVT has worked with vending operators for over 15 years, and has created some of the most exciting and innovative systems in the industry," said Wayne Salvino, president of AVT."Our new FDA-compliant solutions will help vending operators with new technologies that enhance the customer experience and provide sales and marketing insight to system owners."

The solutions use internal computers, software and other technology to help collect analytics on consumer buying habits. "While some vending manufacturers have simply added credit card readers to their machines and passed it off as 'technologically advanced,' AVT has continually pushed the envelope on what an automated retailing system can be," Salvino said. "From our patented wireless communications, to our innovative touchscreens that display product information and nutritional values, AVT simply has the most exciting machines in the industry."
