Avis Singapore has introduced self-service kiosks that allow eligible customers to collect rental car keys without visiting a staffed counter, according to a press release. The company said customers can retrieve their keys in less than 30 seconds after completing advance verification. The Singapore launch follows deployments in the U.K., Italy and France.
Avis Preferred or President Club members must complete a one-time driver's license verification before departure. They then receive an email containing a link and access code, which they enter at the kiosk to collect their keys. The process moves document checks ahead of arrival and allows customers to bypass counter lines.
An Avis Preferred account, which is free to join, is required to use the kiosks. The membership also includes rental discounts, priority service and partner offers. Avis Singapore operates at Changi Airport's terminals 2 and 3 and on Havelock Road.
