The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division received the 2014 Public Affairs and Consumer Education Award for its self-service kiosks, according to a company announcement.
The kiosks were installed in MVD offices in 2013 to include many of the self-service features on their website ServiceArizona.com.
“These kiosks allow customers to quickly and efficiently complete their transactions in an MVD office and we’re pleased that thousands are doing so each week,” said ADOT’s Motor Vehicle Division director, Stacey Stanton.
The touchscreen kiosks process transactions in more than half of Arizona's MVD offices, an average of 14,000 transactions a month.
The PACE Awards, granted by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, recognized ADOT for its two kinds of kiosks: the EXPRESS Registration Renewal kiosk and the EXPRESS MVD Services kiosk, the announcement said.
