ARC has received a $60 million growth investment from Acadia Investment Partners to accelerate product development and expand its presence in retail, logistics, grocery, aviation, warehousing and other industries with frontline workers, according to a press release. The Philadelphia-based company provides an enterprise platform for storing, charging, tracking and managing handheld workplace devices.

The ARC platform combines self-service device-storage kiosks with cloud-based software and data analysis. It assigns charged devices to individual workers while giving managers real-time information about device availability, condition and usage. ARC said its platform has processed more than 130 million transactions and helped customers reduce device losses by nearly 95%, decrease managers' device-administration time by almost 85% and increase device utilization by more than 20%.

ARC plans to use the investment to improve its technology, increase operational capacity and enter additional industries. Financial terms beyond the investment amount were not disclosed. Acadia founder Harsh Agarwal and operating adviser Peter Schmitt will join ARC's board of directors as part of the transaction.
