Aopen introduces interactive touchscreen for kiosks

Aopen, a global electronics manufacturer of cross-platform, commercial grade products in digital signage and applied computing, has launched its next-generation interactive touchscreen series, eTile-X. The series is designed for use in commercial environments to upgrade interactive kiosk experiences for the self-service industry.

The eTile-X touchscreen meets test standards for shock and vibration, air flow, temperature and humidity, and is optimized for commercial applications across retail, QSR and healthcare, according to a press release.

The series, which supports Windows 10 and Linux, will consist initially of three models: eTile-X15; eTile-X15 POE; and eTile-X19. The series will expand to include additional sizes, operating systems and functionalities, Aopen said.

Additional connection ports support peripherals such as scanners, card readers, fingerprint readers and PIN devices. A protective edge safeguards the device during installation for standalone use in harsh environments, such as industrial process or interactive road signage.
