CETW12: Loyalty program uses tablets, smartphones for easy adoption

RewardMe makes it easy for retailers and consumers to embrace loyalty programs.

April 2, 2012

Retailers have been using loyalty programs to collect customer data for years, but it's sometimes a challenge to get shoppers to enroll in the programs and to carry around the loyalty cards.

A new loyalty program platform, RewardMe, takes care of all those barriers, said the company's co-founder Jun Loayza.

RewardMe is any easy and secure way for local businesses to create a loyalty program, as it runs on an iPad kiosk and allows a shopper to participate by simply entering his phone number, Loayza said. The system then tracks his purchases and sends points to his mobile phone that eventually earn him discounts or freebies.
