Chicago-based higi and California-based Stayhealthy, both providers of health monitoring solutions, are partnering to build a retail health kiosk network that will operate as higi, according to a higi company announcement.
The companies have contracted with health provider, corporate, retail and wellness organizations to install interactive health kiosks free to consumers. Higi negotiations are for 10,000 self-service machines to be installed by 2015.
The kiosks will offer consumers blood pressure, body fat, BMI, pulse and weight screenings and integrate with fitness monitoring devices for tracking healthy activities. The system offers a wellness incentives program for customers who reach their goals.
"Our ultimate goal is to promote and develop a collaborative approach to health care between physicians, providers, payers, employers and individuals," higi CEO Jeff Bennett said in the announcement. "By leveraging Stayhealthy's innovative algorithms, advanced testing methods and screening technologies, we get one step closer to achieving this goal through access to high-tech data. There is a great synergy between our products, services and passion for providing quality health care screening and engaging individuals to take control of their health."
