CEW 2014 participants to learn how kiosks fit into brands, customer engagement

In New York, attendees will be able to learn about the marketing mix that works for their company through a look at marketing and IT collaboration as well as models for predicting customer behavior.

October 30, 2014 by Nicole Troxell — Associate Editor, Networld Media Group

Industry professionals seeking to understand the latest in omnichannel marketing will be headed to New York to check out Customer Engagement World (consumerengagementworld.com) November 5-6. Held at the Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, the conference will feature industry leaders, seminars and exhibits, all dedicated to understanding consumer behavior, streamlining the customer experience, and building loyalty.

"Customer Engagement World examines all of the touch points an organization can utilize to engage customers," said Lawrence Dvorchick, General Manager of CEW.

The event will address self-service technologies, of course, and will address in-venue, mobile, social and marketing automation experiences, as well as loyalty analytics, content management, e-commerce and more. Attendees will be able to learn about the marketing mix that works for their company through a look at marketing and IT collaboration as well as models for predicting customer behavior, CEW reports.

"Self-service kiosk technology is a key piece of the engagement landscape, providing a channel for brands and venues to easily and efficiently distribute product, information, conduct transactions and more," added Dvorchick.

On the show floor

The expo show floor is all about consumer-engagement technology. More than 100 exhibitors will showcase their latest products and services, including: self-service/kiosk solutions; digital signage software; POS; tablets; content creation and content-management systems; in-store (venue); interactive; marketing automation; mobile marketing; mobile payment technologies; and much more.

"The big piece is to understand how kiosks fit into marketing and engagement campaigns and purchasing patterns. The kiosk can be an essential deployment in an organization's engagement strategy. Therefore, kiosk providers need to understand the mindset of these purchasers, and work with them to exhibit how interactive self-service kiosks solve the issues they face. At CEW, they will not only get face-to-face with kiosk buyers, but also will be able to clearly demonstrate and communicate how kiosks need to fit into the brand, venue or agency’s engagement plans," Dvorchik said.

See below for a full exhibitor list at press time; visit the show's website for the most current list. And you can check out our preview of technologies on the show floor here

Expo show floor hours for CEW are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. An exhibit-hall pass is free with advance registration through November 4; the pass is $50 with onsite registration.

Beyond the products and technologies, the show floor also will offer two critical-topic zones for attendees:

  • Mobile Engagement Zone: Designed to provide a roadmap to successful mobile-engagement campaigns, topics will include mobile marketing, engagement, messaging, analytics, SMS and text messaging, location-based marketing, gamification and more.
  • Social Engagement Zone: Loyalty-boosting topics are slated to include social marketing, messaging, monitoring, analytics, metrics, content creation, content management, loyalty, word-of-mouth marketing, voice of the customer and others.

Add in various networking mixers, the Arrow Intelligent Bus of the Future focusing on omnichannel engagement, the SAP Lucia+Daniel Retail Experience, and other show-floor happenings, and attendees will never be at risk for a lack of something to investigate.
