ViewSonic Corp. has announced the expansion of its TD40 10-point display series with the addition of the 27-inch TD2740 for consumer and commercial markets, and the 32-inch TD3240 for interactive digital signage applications.
With 10-point projected capacitive touch technology, the full HD 1920x1080 displays deliver a smooth and accurate touch experience, the company said in the announcement. The 27-inch display can be used in either the home or office, in information kiosks in public areas, or as teaching tools in interactive learning environments, the announcement said. Bookstand support allows the TD2740 to be laid flat on a table top, while a VESA design enables wall mounting.
The 32-inch (31.5-inch viewable) 3,000:1 contrast ratio display is specifically designed for commercial applications, such as digital signage and hospitality. Its interactivity and collaboration capabilities also make the TD3240 an ideal touch display for information kiosks, retail stores, and other public environments, the announcement said. Video inputs include VGA, DVI and DisplayPort (via DVI to DP adapter) for customizable connectivity.
"ViewSonic's 10-point multitouch displays offer excellent interactivity, along with superior front-of-screen performance, pulling from our 25 years of display heritage and expertise," said Erik Willey, LCD monitor and PC product marketing director at ViewSonic. "With the addition of our TD2740 and TD3240, ViewSonic has a strong product portfolio in a range of sizes from 22-inch to 32-inch, in 10-point projected capacitive and 2-point optical touch technology to meet most every consumer or commercial demand."
