Vending kiosk restoration company banned for failing to dispense services

July 22, 2016

Antique Vending, a North Carolina-based company that restores old vending kiosks, has been banned from accepting payments by the state's attorney general, Roy Cooper. He imposed the ban after receiving complaints from Antique Vending customers who claimed that the company failed to deliver kiosks as promised, according to areport by Journal Now.

Customers complained to the Consumer Protection Agency that Antique Vending and its owner, Alan Huffman, failed to meet deadlines and ignored emails. Huffman told customers that he had shipped their kiosks to them, but the shipping companies he named denied any knowledge of the supposed shipments.

Superior Court Judge Donald Stephens of Wake County, North Carolina, filed a preliminary injunction against the company to prevent it from advertising its services or accepting advance payments for restoring vending machines.
