Retail kiosk manufacturer Signifi is deploying a vending kiosk that dispenses IT supplies to improve efficiencies and inventory controls for IT departments, according to a press release.
Known as an IT Asset Dispensing Solution, employees can order products through a Web portal and then pick it up from the kiosk using their ID cards. The kiosk is designed with robots to dispense products such as laptops and cellphones gently, according to the press release.
"The ADS allows Signifi to use its retail-dispensing technology to solve a complex, age-old problem for enterprise IT departments." Shamira Jaffer, CEO of Signifi Solutions said in the release. "Our focus in the past four years has been on dispensing solutions for retailers and brands; this is a natural next step for us as we have been serving corporate clients for over a decade."
The ADS is built on a Web platform to provide integration to enterprise platforms such as SAP and ARIBA. In addition, for smaller items or offices, Signifi also offers a rotary smart locker that is designed to hold 92 stockholding units.
