Compulocks has announced the launch of its Vader iPad POS kiosk to serve retailers looking for a mobile point-of-sale solution. The kiosk is being released under the company's Maclocks brand, according to a press release.
The kiosk is designed with a high-grade aluminum enclosure and a stand that also doubles as a handle. The display can be used in portrait and landscape mode and is designed to be resistant to the everyday hazards of retail, such as falling.
The kiosk also offers credit card reader compatibility through the audio jack and an external mount. The device is designed to be compatible with other Compulocks products such as its hand grip, tilting dock stand, shoulder strap, security cable lock and EMV mount.
"We wanted to provide a rugged POS option that also had the mobility aspect to allow our clients a versatile solution compatible with all major mobile POS providers with the ability to close sales on the spot," said Alexander Gad, CTO, Compulocks. "The feedback we are receiving from a few select retailers is extremely positive."
