Kiosk manufacturer U-Vend Inc. has announced it has opened a custom kiosk and product supply depot in Ontario, Canada. The company will use this depot to resupply its kiosks, including its ice cream kiosks, according to the press release.
U-Vend recently formed a partnership with the NHL for the launch of the Frozen Pond Premium Ice Cream product in Canada. Through this partnership, customers will be able to purchase ice cream bars with NHL "Collector Hockey Sticks" at the company's kiosks, retailers and countertop freezers. The depot will keep those areas supplied.
The company will use 1,000 square feet of the depot for offices and the other 2,000 square feet for warehouse space. It will act as the main office for U-Vend's North American digital advertising operations.
"We are very excited with the opening of our Canadian depot as we prepare not only to introduce Frozen Pond Premium Ice Cream, our initial sport-themed ice cream product, but also as we begin building the infrastructure of our digital advertising operations that will integrate with our self-serve kiosks and merchandisers," said Paul Neelin, COO of U-Vend.
"The addition of our fourth product distribution depot is yet another key development, in a series of events, that will facilitate our strategic entry into the multibillion dollar North American ice cream market," said Raymond Meyers, CEO of U-Vend. "We are excited to be entering the Canadian market with a licensing agreement with the NHL, and look forward to bringing hockey fans across Canada our Frozen Pond Premium products."
