TouchSystems launches 55-inch multi-touch display

TouchSystems, a digital signage and touch display company, has announced its 55-inch P5530P-3 touch display. The display is designed with a 10-point, multi-touch projected capacitive sensor, according to a press release.

The company used NEC Display Solutions' LED edge-lighting technology to make the display 50 percent lighter and thinner and consume 30 percent less power than other displays, according to the release.

The display also features:

• A bezel-free chassis.
• Internal temperature sensors and fans to keep it cool.
• Open Pluggable Specification to allow customers to install media players without additional brackets, hardware or cable management
• And a 3-year parts and labor warranty.

"Designed for 24-7 operation, this is the premier solution for multi-touch interactivity in the 55-inch class," Carol Nordin, president of TouchSystems said in the release. "From aesthetics to performance, this display exceeds expectations."
