Touch sensor firm Zytronic extends North American channel, adds Priconics to partner network

Zytronic, specialist developer of dual- and multitouch PCT touch sensors, has added Priconics to its network of North American representatives, the company announced.

Zytronic, specialist developer of dual- and multitouch PCT touch sensors, has added Priconics to its network of North American representatives, the company announced. Following the successful establishment of Zytronic Inc. earlier this year, this appointment further extends Zytronic's channel presence in the fast-growing North American touchscreen market, the company said.

Based in Cincinnati, Priconics serves the third-largest electronics market in the U.S., covering Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania, according to the announcement. Priconics support a wide range of markets including medical, industrial, space and telecommunication, as well as consumer and commercial applications, offering custom solutions and application engineering support ranging from complex bare printed circuit boards to graphic overlays for LCD modules, touch display modules and vertically integrated solutions for data centers.

Priconics' customers will now have access to Zytonic's PCT (single/dual-touch) and MPCT (multi-touch) projected capacitive technology, rugged and thermally toughened touch sensors for high usage or outdoor applications.

"Zytronic sees significant growth potential for touchscreen applications in North America, and we are committed to increasing our presence, not only through establishing a technical support office in the U.S. but also by welcoming experienced partners like Priconics into our support network," Ian Crosby, the company's sales and marketing director, said in the announcement.
