Briggo CEO Kevin Nater is brewing up a way for coffee addicts to get their caffeine fixes with hardly any help from human baristas.
Nater, with help from Charles Studor, created robotic baristas run from kiosks, hoping to make coffee making faster, easier, and more personal for the customers, according to phonesreview.com The University of Texas is testing kiosks, which have not yet been deployed to stores.
How it works
The mobile application, which doesn't yet have a name, allows customers to place their orders, view the estimated brewing time and pay through their phones before reaching stores equipped with a Briggo kiosk.
The plan, according to Nater, is for customers to send in their orders before they reach the store, giving the kiosk an estimated time of arrival, and an e-mail/text reply that allows the buyer to know when the drink is ready.
Although cafes and stores cannot yet buy the kiosks, Briggo is working on final tests and plans to release the kiosks to set Briggo-based locations next year with hopes of deploying them in other coffee shops within the next few years.
