Vagabond, a provider of technology, operations and commerce solutions for the food and beverage industry, and Automated Merchandising Systems, a vending equipment manufacturer, have released "AMS Touchless," which features a clean design without peripheral components such as bill validators, coin mechanisms or credit card readers anywhere on the machine. Instead, the machine relies on Vagabond's embedded "vīv" commerce platform for all purchases, according to a press release.
By eliminating the need for additional components, AMS Touchless features space for a sixth selection in the snack trays, which reduces the "out of service" visits for operators.
The machine has graphics that promote the vīv touchless vending commerce platform to consumers.
The merchandiser includes a window display that allows for text, pictures and video.
