Tagmaster AB to acquire Sensys Networks for $16M

Tagmaster AB, a provider of sensor systems for smart cities within traffic and rail, is acquiring Sensys Networks Inc. for $16 million, according to a press release.  

Both companies are technology providers in the smart cities sector, selling direct and through channel partners to end users such as authorities and road operators.

Sensys Networks offers a  wireless platform, addressing traffic and parking data needs. The end-to-end solution, comprised of sensors, edge gateways and data management software, has deployed in hundreds of cities globally.

The acquisition provides the companies with an enhanced capacity for creating future products and solutions in the U.S. and Europe, as well as a platform to deliver next-generation infrastructure to smartphone applications for connected travelers and autonomous vehicles.
