Tablet enclosure offers OEM device integration

June 1, 2016

Kiosk company ImageHolders has announced that its Shell-plus tablet kiosk enclosure range now supports of a variety of integrated original equipment manufacturer devices. For instance, the range now supports ID scanners and EMV readers, according to a press release.

The Shell-plus line is designed to accommodate devices such as ID scanners, EMV readers, fingerprint scanners, 1D and 2D barcode scanners, contactless NFC and RFID readers. Additionally the Shell-plus can accept tablets — including the iPad Pro, Dell Venue 11 and Microsoft Surface Pro 4 — with screen sizes up to 12.9 inches.

"We're seeing an increase in inquiries for tablet enclosures which can securely hold different devices such as receipt printers, that can perform as a self-service kiosk," said ImageHolders CEO Adrian Thompson. "Our design team have been working hard to create a wall-mounted solution which can securely hold multiple small devices such as fingerprint readers and barcode scanners. Our most recent project was integrating a barcode scanner, and after that successful deployment, we're excited to see what the next challenge will be."
