Phelps hospital helps visitors keep their heads with information kiosks, digital signage

Phelps Hospital, located in Sleepy Hollow, New York, has deployed informational kiosks and digital signage screens around the facility to provide directions and news to visitors, according to an announcement from kiosk and digital signage provider Livewire Digital.

The hospital installed informational kiosks featuring 42-inch screens at the entrances to each of the campus's buildings to help visitors understand the layout of the campus so they can find their way from one building to another. The kiosks, based on Livewire's eConcierge self-service platform, allow users to access interactive maps, calendars of hospital events, directories and other information, and are designed to be easy to navigate and read, and feature both English and Spanish options.

The digital signs are placed throughout the hospital and display events, news and other activities taking place across the facility. Hospital staff can use the eConcierge server to remotely manage the content and check the health of the digital signage displays and kiosks, according to the announcement.
