Signifi Solutions inc has added another kiosk model to its outdoor line up.
According to a press release, the "Rainman" is heated and air conditioned and is a 800-capacity waterproof model.
"Outdoor kiosks add convenience, visibility and 24/7 operation," said Signifi's CEO Shamira Jaffer, in the press release. "The sales lift for the owner/operator is said to be between 50 percent to 150 percent.
The outdoor kiosk requires a much greater level of expertise, according to Michael Rigato, vice president of New Product Development at Signifi.
"At minimum, manufacturers have to contend with hot and cold temperatures and rain, but most tend to overlook the other critical factors, such as dust, pollution and condensation. These impact the life and operations of the product over time."
According to the press release, Signifi has invested in experts with more than 50 years of combined experience from the Electro Mechanical Solution industry in order to effectively engineer and develop its outdoor products.
"We realized the market requirement for outdoor-ready kiosks, and we stepped up deliver to this demand," said the company's Vice President of Manufacturing Kannan Thiruvelangadu, in the release. "Our goal is to stay at the forefront of outdoor technology, and so all our products going forward will have outdoor options"
Thiruvelangadu said that with Signifi's next-generation DVD rental kiosks, consumers already benefit from quicker delivery and higher capacity than any other product on the market today.
The Signifi solution includes a web-based backend, management tools and Esprida's remote management platform. The solution also has a digital-signage management system that controls the dedicated advertising LCD screen.
