Queue has announced a robotic pharmacy kiosk that the company said can fill prescriptions in about 30 seconds and accommodate 340 medications, according to a press release.
Designed for pharmacies, urgent care centers and outpatient clinics, the system fills, checks and labels prescriptions while software processes insurance and payments. Patients retrieve their medications using a pickup code.
The Newark, California-based company said the kiosk uses machine vision to verify each pill and maintains tracking records from the original medication bottle to the patient's vial. Installation takes less than a day, according to Queue, and pharmacists are available by phone or text. The company plans to demonstrate the system during the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference.
Kiosk Marketplace previously reported July 1 that Queue raised $12.6 million in seed funding, bringing its total financing to $18.6 million. That coverage described capacity for approximately 250 to 280 medications and broader commercial deployments expected in early 2027. The latest announcement outlines greater medication capacity and additional details about installation and prescription processing.
