Planar, MediaSignage ink deal for display production

MediaSignage Inc., a digital signage software and hardware provider, has teamed up with Planar to provide digital signage displays. The company is attempting to provide end-to-end solutions for digital signage projects, according to a press release.

MediaSignage is now offering bundled packages that include Android-based players, a Planar display and digital signage software. The company is also working on developing a GPU-enabled touchscreen enhancement to integrate into its displays by the first or second quarter of 2017.

"We started this holistic outreach effort last year when we added several content developers to our team. We have now successfully completed the circle by adding digital displays. Providing a complete solution for all the requisite hardware, software, content and service means MediaSignage customers have a proverbial 'one-stop-shop' for all their digital signage needs," Nate Nead, president of MediaSignage, said in the release. "We chose Planar to assist in providing a quality line-up of commercial units, knowing they would supply the enterprise-level solution demanded by many of our clients."
