College students in Manila, Philippines can now search for jobs without leaving their campuses, even before they graduate, thanks to job search kiosks, according to The Philippine Star.
The Department of Labor and Employment will set up job search kiosks in big universities and colleges in Metro Manila.
Students from Far Eastern University and the University of Santo Tomas are the first beneficiaries of the new program.
The deployment of job search kiosks in universities is one of the government's programs to address the high unemployment rate among the youth.
A job search kiosk is an information portal housed in an ATM-type, stand-alone labor market information system capable of employment facilitation like job search and skills matching.
