Pearl Technology has crafted a new touchscreen kiosk for car dealerships. The kiosks are 6-feet, 4-inches tall and are designed to look like giant smartphones, according to a report by Wards Auto.
Customers can use the kiosks to look at car inventory, brochures and videos. The kiosk is connected to credit-tracker Experian, which is designed to calculate auto loan payments quickly without a social security number. Once the rate is calculated, employees can scan the customer's driver's license to bring up their information and payments for the car.
The kiosk is designed to show the three best rates from three different lenders for users. Users can also make adjustments to the down payment or lease mileage.
"Basically, within 10 seconds the system takes the customer to a point in the retail process that would traditionally take 90 minutes," said Bruce Thompson, Pearl CEO.
