Pakistan's National Database and Registration Authority has introduced self-service kiosks at selected registration centers to make identity services more accessible to overseas Pakistanis and their families, according to a TechJuice report.
The automated stations are intended to shorten lines and simplify procedures that previously required more staff assistance.
Users can renew a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis, request a replacement for a lost or damaged card, or cancel the card of a deceased family member. The authority said the kiosks would provide a faster and more convenient way to complete common identity-related transactions.
The kiosks are available at major registration centers in Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and several other cities across Pakistan. The deployment is part of the authority's broader effort to modernize public services through digital technology and improve access throughout the country.
