Outerwall's ecoATM wins Green Business of the Year Award

Outerwall's ecoATM electronic recycling kiosk has received the 2014 Green Business of the Year Award from the Latin Business Association.

Outerwall's electronic recycling kiosk ecoATM has received the 2014 Green Business of the Year Award from the Latin Business Association due to its impact on the economy and environment, the company announced.

The ecoATM kiosk recycles mobile devices, tablets and MP3 players and the company's devices have collected more than three million devices as of August 2014, according to the announcement. EcoATM is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for recycling e-waste and provides compensation for devices submitted.

The award was presented at the 38th Annual LBA Sol Business Awards Gala in Los Angeles, October 22.
