NJ Transit and Intersection deploy interactive digital signage kiosks

Intersection, a smart cities company, recently deployed its IxNTouch interactive information kiosks to rail and light rail station platforms in the NJ Transit. These kiosks offer real-time transit information, maps, wayfinding and dynamic advertisements, according to a press release.

NJ Transit plans to use the kiosks to help improve communication with customers and increase revenue through ads.

"By listening to our customers, we know that receiving information is one of their top priorities," Kevin Corbett, executive director of NJ Transit, said in the release. "These digital displays are an added tool that will enable customers to quickly learn the current service status for their particular trip as well as their travel options for rail and light rail. We look forward to hearing feedback from customers on this latest informational asset as we continue to modernize and expand customer communications at stations and terminals."
