New Nintendo Amiibos arrive at retail kiosks

Fans of Nintendo's NFC enabled figurines will be able to see new ones at select retail kiosks.

Amiibo fans can view new releases of the figurines at select North American retail kiosks, according to areport by Nintendo World Report. Amiibos are small figurines of Nintendo characters that can be used in games when they interact with the Near Field Communication reader located in the Wii U game console's controller as well as the handheld 3DS consoles. 

Target kiosks will display several new Amiibos at its kiosks, including R.O.B. with a new color scheme, and various characters from the game series Animal Crossing including Kapp'n, Rover and Timmy and Tommy Nook as a single Amiibo, which will be exclusive to Target.

Video game retailer Gamestop also will display a new Roy Amiibo from the game Fire Emblem at its in-store kiosk.
