Kimball, Nebraska has installed the states "first and only interactive travel kiosk," according to KOTA Territory News.
The kiosk, which is housed at High Point Welcome Center in Kimball, was donated to the facility by the town's Kimball Partners. Users can access wayfinding information about the state and interactive maps with area attractions, lodging and shopping, the article said. It also gets the word out about local businesses with advertisements starting at $10 a month:
"This works for you seven days a week. Pictures sell, and those of us who do marketing for the community know that pictures sell. Now you have a chance to show what you've got, out a video on it of what you've got," said Director of Kimball/Banner County Tourism Jo Caskey in the article.
