The city of Nashville will be installing more bike-sharing kiosks throughout the area, according to an article in The Tennessean.
A $1.3 million federal grant called "Communities Putting Prevention to Work" paid for the first 20 kiosks for a total of 200 bikes. Sponsors are contributing funds to five kiosks in the works.
"We're very much outpacing what we thought we would have in initial projections," Andrea Champion, a Nashville Downtown Partnership spokeswoman, said in the article.
The kiosks allow members to check out a bike for individual rides, short-term memberships and annual memberships, which cost $50.
